In 1997, RAMP opened the Stephenson County office in Freeport, Illinois. Since then, RAMP has grown from one staff member to eleven and have outgrown our offices several times. When the doors first opened in Freeport, RAMP provided services to approximately 5 consumers. Today, RAMP provides independent living services to over 300 consumers in Stephenson County helping them reach their goals of independence.
Ten years later, the Freeport office space no longer met RAMP’s needs and expansion of that location was inevitable in addition to difficult and costly. A building was located to purchase and renovate, ultimately giving RAMP a permanent home in Freeport where growth and expansion is possible.
To help fund the new building in Freeport, RAMP is currently conducting a Capital Campaign, “Investing in Independence”.
