What Happens the Day of the Wheel-A-Thon?
When you arrive on the morning of the Wheel-A-Thon, you will need to sign in and turn in your sponsor sheet(s) and pledges. You and/or your team will be assigned a wheelchair and have an
DeKalb Wheel-A-Thon opportunity to practice your wheelies (kidding!) and socialize with the other participants.
Soon after, the opening ceremony will begin with comments from RAMP personnel and the Wheel-A-Thon Chairman, and conclude with the national anthem.
The wheelers and walkers will then take-off and complete the course, which should take about 45 minutes to complete.
Upon finishing the route, you’ll enjoy a complimentary picnic of grilled burgers and hot dogs, chips, cold beverages and treats. While you eat, we’ll announce the top teams and individual participants. The event typically lasts 2 hours, letting you enjoy the rest of your summer Saturday.
Wheel-A-Thon Team

Why not Organize a Team?
The Team Challenge promotes friendly competition between businesses and organizations whose employees/members participate on their behalf. Here's how it works:
-Recruit one or more team(s) comprised of at least five wheelers/walkers who share a wheelchair and work together to raise funds for the Wheel-A-Thon.
-Choose a team name and Team Captain for each team who will serve as liaison to RAMP staff and lead your team to success.
Your team will compete against other teams for great prizes and a bragging rights plaque.
