October 9, 2008: RAMP’s 18th Annual Luncheon with Keynote Speaker Amy Roloff Mark your calendars for Thursday, October 9, 2008, 11:45 a.m. at Cliffbreakers with keynote speaker, Amy Roloff. Amy Roloff, better known to some as the “Mom” on TLC’s reality series, Little People Big World is the guest speaker at this year’s luncheon. The series, going on its fourth season, chronicles the Roloff family on their 34-acre farm near Portland, Oregon. The Roloff’s are an extraordinary family composed of both little and average sized people. Amy Roloff truly lives RAMP’s mission and will engage us with her message. October 16 & 17, 2008: DeKalb RAMP’s Scavenger Hunt & Round Table Discussion Thursday, October 16th & Friday, October 17th, 2007 RAMP in DeKalb RAMP’s first ever Scavenger Hunt is an exciting, eye-opening experience that places valued community leaders in the driver’s seat allowing everyone the opportunity to work together to achieve a common goal: to make positive changes for our county. RAMP (Regional Access & Mobilization Project) is a non-profit, non-residential Center for Independent Living (CIL) that advocates for and serves people with disabilities. Scavenger Hunt participants will be assigned a disability and task then experience real-life challenges of being a person with a disability. The Scavenger Hunt will be held Thursday, October 18, 2007 from 9:00 a.m - 1:00 p.m., at the RAMP office, 1022 West Lincoln Hwy DeKalb. We will meet again on Friday October 19, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. – noon to brainstorm achievable solutions.
